One hundred and seventy-five Nepali nationals from six different cities across Hubei Province of the People’s Republic of China were airlifted from Wuhan this morning by a charter flight of Nepal Airlines. Of the 175 nationals, 170 are students, one employee, two visitors, and two children. The flight that departed for Nepal at 00:52 am Wuhan local time landed at Tribhuvan International Airport at 03:22 am local time. The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing had arranged six separate vehicles to bring the Nepali nationals from different cities of Hubei Province to the airport. The numbers of Nepali nationals from the six cities who boarded the flight include 55 from Wuhan, 25 from Enshi, 29 from Shiyan, eight from Yichang, nine from Jingmen, and 48 from Jingzhou, according to a statement released by the Embassy earlier today. Of them, 134 are male and 41 are female. Out of the 185 applicants, four later decided to stay back in China while six could not board the plane due to medical reasons. Necessary procedures including temperature checks were completed before boarding the plane. The returnees will be kept in quarantine for at least 14 days in Kharipati, Bhaktapur before they go to their respective homes. Kathmandu, Feb 15:Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said there would be no compromise on the matters of nation’s sovereignty and geographical integrity and the government was working to regain encroached territory of Nepal from India. Responding to lawmakers’ queries following his address to the House of Representatives on the occasion of completion of two years of the formation of incumbent government today, the Prime Minister said the evidences showed that source of Kaligandaki river, Limpiyadhura and Lipulek area (in western Nepal) were the parts of Nepal. In his attempt to address lawmakers’ queries in regard with the land dispute issue with India, the Prime Minister said, “To sit for talks with India in regard with the border issue is not unilateral. We are working to regain our land and new map of Nepal will be issued soon.” Replying to a query about the possibility of constitution amendment, he said it would be amended in an appropriate time and on the basis of meaning. “We have arrived at this point by following the constitution. The constitution is not a non-amendable document. Its amendment and acceptability are different matters.” He went on to say that the government could not intervene in issues under sub-judice at the court as they would be addressed by the independent judiciary. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister (CM)Sherdhan Rai said the government struggled from its nascent stage to generate some visible outcomes during two years. CM Rai put declaration of state Capital, establishment of Manmohan Technical University, ending of milk holiday, scientists’ conference, formation of much-needed 39 laws, construction of infrastructures, among others, as visible results of state government. ”27-kilometer-long road has been blacktopped, 129-kilometer-long road has been graveled, 10 motorable bridges have been constructed and 15 suspension bridges have been accomplished”, said CM Rai in his speech.
