Kathmandu- Proton’s newly introduced compact electric SUV, the Proton e.MAS 5, has emerged as one of the major attractions at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
Jagadamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, has showcased the newly launched electric SUV at the ongoing expo being held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The expo is running from August 11 to 16.
The Proton e.MAS 5 is being displayed at Hall B, Stall A-6, where visitors can get a closer look at the vehicle and place bookings. The company said the model has been receiving strong interest from customers and automobile enthusiasts since its introduction in the Nepali market.
The e.MAS 5 is based on a rear-wheel-drive platform, offering balanced weight distribution, responsive driving performance, high stability and easy handling. The company says these features make the vehicle suitable for both busy urban roads and Nepal’s highways and hilly roads.
Designed with modern lifestyles in mind, the electric SUV comes with three smart storage areas. These include a 70-litre front storage compartment, a 28-litre under-seat storage area and a 20-litre centre-console storage compartment.
The vehicle is equipped with rear multi-link independent suspension, a 375-litre boot, a 14.6-inch Full HD display, and advanced safety features including a 360-degree camera and G-Trac control system.
Other features include a 4.95-metre turning radius, 65-degree wide-opening doors and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology, which allows the vehicle’s battery to power external electrical devices.
The premium variant is equipped with an 85-kilowatt 11-in-1 electric motor and powertrain, along with a 360-degree camera and other premium features.
The Proton e.MAS 5 is available in Prime and Premium variants. The company has priced the Prime variant at Rs 3.299 million and the Premium variant at Rs 3.699 million.
