Kathmandu- Twenty-two contestants have been selected for the final round of Mrs. Nepal World 2026, a prestigious pageant for married women that aims to showcase beauty alongside talent, personality, and confidence.
At a sashing ceremony held in the capital on Thursday, the contestants selected through auditions conducted at various locations were presented with their respective tag numbers and sashes. The 22 finalists also introduced themselves during the ceremony held at Baneshwor Hills in Thapagaun.
The finalists competing in the grand finale are Priyashikha Khadka, Sagun Khanal, Sophia Dhakal, Richa Sharma, Sweksha Poudyal, Rasna Shrestha, Yasmin Begum Said, Neha Gupta, Dipti Dhungel, Bindu Thapa Rana, Shilpa Neupane, Shanta Rana, Sunita Shrestha Karmacharya, Sandhya Lama, Binita Gurung, Jyoti Lamichhane, Samiksha Ranabhat, Sushma Thapa, Christina Gyawali, Anju Pariyar, Monica Tamang, and Kanchan Maharjan.
According to Nishukant Jha, chairman of the organizing body Ribbon Entertainment, women from diverse professional and social backgrounds are participating in this year’s competition. The finalists include homemakers as well as doctors, engineers, bankers, entrepreneurs, healthcare professionals, nurses, fashion designers, and women working in management.
Organizer Shila Bastola said the objective of the competition is to provide married women with a platform to showcase their talent, capabilities, and personalities. According to the organizers, the pageant provides an additional platform for women who are building their professional and personal identities while also managing family responsibilities.
The grand finale of Mrs. Nepal World 2026 will be held on Kartik 14 (October 31) at the Nepal Police Club. The winner of the finale will represent Nepal at the international Mrs. World competition to be held in the United States.
Likewise, winners of Mrs. Nepal International, Ms. International, and Mrs. Cosmo will also be selected from the same platform. The winners of these titles will get an opportunity to participate in international competitions to be held in Singapore.
The competition will be choreographed by Ashwini Jha, with Nisha Baraily serving as co-choreographer. Contestants will receive dance training from Sandeep Bhujel, while around 45 days of various training sessions and competitive activities will be conducted under the coordination of Ganga Maharjan and Bindiya Shrestha, according to the organizers.
