Kathmandu- JCB India honoured Nepali customers Ain Bahadur Raut and Netra Bahadur Adhikari for their efforts during the flood rescue operations. They were felicitated at the JCB Pavilion during Bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026, where JCB India CEO and Managing Director Deepak Shetty personally praised their contribution.

Raut and Adhikari worked for several days at the Trishuli 3A site using a JCB 221 tracked excavator and other machinery. Their efforts helped rescue two people who had been trapped at the site alive, according to JCB India.

Speaking at the felicitation programme, JCB India CEO Shetty said the efforts of Raut and Adhikari offered hope amid the tragedy witnessed in Nepal. He also praised them for remaining simple and humble despite carrying out such a courageous rescue operation.

Meanwhile, MAW Earthmovers, the authorised JCB dealer in Nepal, has been operating a special free service camp for JCB machines being used in rescue, relief and reconstruction operations in Nuwakot and Dhading.

Through JCB WOW Service vehicles, the JCB Disaster Relief Special Free Service Camp is providing necessary services to machines deployed in rescue and reconstruction operations. Safety kits have also been distributed to machine operators working in hazardous conditions.
