Kathmandu – MetLife Nepal’s Vice President and General Manager Nirmal Kaji Shrestha has been honored with the Asian Professional Achievement Award 2026 under the category of “Outstanding Leadership in Life Insurance and Financial Services.”

The award, organized by Season Media, recognizes Shrestha’s leadership and contribution to the development of the insurance and financial services sector in Nepal. The company said the recognition further reinforces MetLife Nepal’s long-term commitment to developing local talent and leadership.

Shrestha became the first Nepali citizen to lead MetLife Nepal in 2017. Under his leadership, the company has focused on improving customer experience, promoting continuous learning and development, and advancing technology and innovation.

MetLife Nepal has also continued to strengthen its focus on customer-centric solutions, digital innovation, operational excellence and employee development under Shrestha’s leadership, according to the company.

Following the recognition, Shrestha said he was honored to receive the award and dedicated the achievement to MetLife Nepal’s employees, agents, partners and other stakeholders.

The Asian Professional Achievement Award, organized by Season Media, recognizes professionals across Asia for leadership, innovation, contributions to their respective sectors and professional achievements. This year, professionals from China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Japan and Nepal were among those honored.
