Kathmandu- As part of its Xiaomi For Community initiative, Xiaomi Nepal has provided 200 sets of essential household and kitchen items to families affected by the recent floods and landslides. The relief sets were formally handed over to Kathmandu Chief District Officer, Mr. Eshwor Raj Poudel.
Each relief set includes one pressure cooker, one frying pan, five plates, five spoons, six cups, five bowls, and one thermos bottle, essential items needed for daily cooking and meals. Altogether, the 200 sets include 200 pressure cookers, 200 frying pans, 1,000 plates, 1,000 spoons, 1,200 cups, 1,000 bowls, and 200 thermos bottles.
True to its commitment “A Helping Hand to Rebuild Everyday Life,” Xiaomi Nepal believes this support will provide some relief and convenience to affected families as they work to return to normal life following the floods and landslides.
Xiaomi Nepal had earlier provided NPR 2 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the floods and landslides caused by the Bhotekoshi River. With this latest distribution of relief materials, Xiaomi Nepal continues its efforts to support the immediate needs of affected communities.
Expressing solidarity with affected communities during this difficult time, Xiaomi Nepal stated that it remains committed to supporting relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
