Kathmandu – The 15th meeting of the India-Nepal Security Bilateral Consultative Group has been completed. The meeting was completed on October 18.

The meeting was led by Bhrigu Dhungana, joint secretary of the South Asia Division of the Government of Nepal Ministry of Foreign Affairs on behalf of Nepal and Anurag Srivastava, joint secretary of the Northern Division of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs on the Indian side.

Officials from the Ministry of Defence, Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs and Directorates of Indian and Nepali Army participated in both the teams.

The meeting discussed various topics like mutual security, supply of defense materials, training and capacity building, joint military exercises, visits, joint travel, adventure activities, cooperation in disaster management and exchange of information.

Established in 2003 to promote bilateral security and security cooperation, the India-Nepal Bilateral Consultative Group is an important institutional mechanism between India and Nepal.
