Five buried in an avalanche in Dharchula

Darchula– Efforts are underway to rescue five people who were buried in an avalanche that occurred at Bhomin in Byas Rural Municipality of Darchula district on Tuesday. Assistant Chief District Officer of Darchula Pradip Singh Dhami informed that the avalanche occurred in an area where a group 12 people had set up a tent to collect yarsagumba. “Seven people were able to escape the avalanche while five people were buried by the avalanche,” said Dhami. Nine people killed in nine months due to wild animal attacks

Kathmandu– Nine people have died due to attacks by wild animals till mid-April of the current financial year. The attack by the wild animals took place within the territory of Chitwan National Park and Division Forest Office. NBA urges for early appointment of Chief Justice of Supreme Court

Kathmandu– The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has demanded for the early appointment of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
