Kathmandu – The former president of Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandiraj Dhakal, has stressed on the expansion of China-Nepal industrial marketing.

In the meeting of ‘China-Nepal Industry Cooperation and Business Matching Forum’ held in Kunming, China on Tuesday, heemphasized on the expansion of China-Nepal industrial marketing.

Representing Nepal in the meeting, President Dhakal said that he prioritized strengthening trade relations between China and Nepal in order to improve the country’s economy, which has fallen mainly after the corona epidemic. “After the tragedy of the Corona epidemic, we have been discussing with the state representatives related to the Yuan Council CCPT with the view that cooperation with China is more important than before in the matter of the changed world economy,” he said.

Similarly, he said that the same will be emphasized in the 16th China-South Asia Business Forum program to be held in Kunming. We will focus more on the industrial marketing of Nepal-China under the name of ‘China Nepali Cooperation and Business Marketing’, speaking before he said, ‘As Nepal will take the chairmanship from a rotating process in the upcoming forum meeting, we believe that understanding and shared areas from this meeting will be more important. He said that the forum will focus more on agriculture, tourism, hydro, industrial compatibility and environmental sectors.

Dhakal says that the involvement of the private sector is more important in the current situation. He is of the opinion that South Asian countries have a lot of opportunities and if China is to continue its economic growth, there is no other option than to focus on South Asian countries. “Because South Asia has a great potential of skilled manpower, there are many possible opportunities in other South Asia”, he said.

He said that the economy can accelerate only if the opportunity is taken forward by cooperating with the entrepreneurs of the United South Asian countries. Stating that Nepal should give importance to Nepal-China bilateral industry, he said, “If Nepal is to promote the industrial sector and seek the contribution of the industrial sector in the GDB, we will pay more attention to the implementation of technology transfer from mega projects with Chinese entrepreneurs.”

More than 60 Nepali businessmen are exhibiting their products at the fair in Kunming. There, they will raise issues that should be brought up from discussion to implementation, with the belief that China’s role will be important in continuing the products from Nepal.
