Kathmandu- Samsung has officially introduced its latest generation of foldable smartphones and smartwatches in Nepal, unveiling the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9.
The newly launched devices will be available for purchase nationwide from August 26. The new Galaxy Z series has been designed to deliver enhanced experiences in productivity, entertainment, creativity and personal expression.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features an expansive 8-inch main display, an upgraded camera system and enhanced performance aimed at demanding users. Its larger display is designed to provide more space for multitasking and creative workflows.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 comes with a wider cover display and a 4:3 main display, offering an immersive experience for browsing, reading, gaming and watching content.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 features a 50MP camera, ProVisual Engine and FlexCam capabilities. Samsung has positioned it as its sleekest Flip smartphone yet, combining portability with enhanced camera and interaction features.
Alongside the new smartphones, Samsung has also introduced the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 in Nepal. Both smartwatches focus on continuous health tracking, improved performance, comfort and battery life.
To make the new devices more accessible, Samsung is offering a 24-month EMI facility starting from NPR 5,291 per month. Customers can access the EMI option by providing their citizenship document, according to the company.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra (12GB/512GB) is priced at NPR 339,999, while the 12GB/256GB variant costs NPR 299,999. The Galaxy Z Fold8 (12GB/256GB) is priced at NPR 274,999, and the Galaxy Z Flip8 (12GB/256GB) is available for NPR 194,999.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is priced at NPR 123,499, while the Galaxy Watch9 costs NPR 71,499 for the 44mm variant and NPR 66,499 for the 40mm variant.
Samsung said pre-orders for the new devices have received a strong response. Violet Shadow was the most popular colour for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Lavender led for the Galaxy Z Fold8, while Pink was the preferred colour for the Galaxy Z Flip8.
