BRI will clear doubts as it progresses

Editor’s Note: Doubts have again been raised over the Belt and Road Initiative’s goals, with some calling it a “debt trap” for participating countries and China’s “geopolitical expansion tool”. Why are anti-China elements using such ploys to malign China? And will they see reason once the Belt and Road Initiative starts yielding fruitful results for the participating countries? Two experts share their views on the issue with China Daily’s Pan Yixuan. Excerpts follow: BRI’s aim is peaceful development for all Under the Belt and Road Initiative framework, China wants to share its development experiences with other countries and improve connectivity between Asia and Europe and Africa. China greatly benefited from infrastructure construction, and while sharing this experience with other countries, it aims to work with them to enhance the complementarity between the Belt and Road Initiative and their development plans to strengthen global cooperation. Many countries that need to build or improve infrastructure networks may not get loans from international financial organizations because of various reasons, including uncertainty of repayment and supposedly poor environmental protection rules. India Rebuilds Chhyoiphel Kundeling Monastery in Sindhupalchok

Kathmandu – The Embassy of India, Kathmandu rebuilds the Chhyoiphel Kundeling Monastery at Lisankhu village in Sindhupalchok district.  venerable Shyalpa Tenzing Rinpoche inaugurated the building Friday.  Dr. Ajay Kumar, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India attended the inauguration ceremony as a Special Guest. In addition to reconstructing the Monastery, the project also included building additional infrastructure such as residences, kitchen, sanitation facilities and compound wall with a grant of NR 18.9 million. The District Coordination Committee, Chautara implemented the project by way of preparing architectural design, drawings and cost estimates and by undertaking construction supervision of the Monastery. The Chhyoiphel Kundeling Monastery was established in 1946 with the active initiation and contribution of Lisankhu villagers. India Builds Maternity Hospital in Siraha District

Siraha. Ambassador of India to Nepal H.E. ShriManjeev Singh Puri inaugurated Chandra Narayan Yadav Memorial Maternity Hospital in Siraha District. Nepali Congress Central Committee Member, Treasurer and Chairman of Chandra Narayan Memorial Trust Ms.Sita Devi Yadavattended the inauguration ceremony along with the political, community leaders and a large number of friends of the India-Nepal relationship. The Hospital is built to provide access to maternity and health care services to the people of 50 VDCs in and around the Siraha District.The Hospital is being run by the Chandra Narayan Yadav Memorial Trust under the principle of no profit/no loss basis to quality maternal and child care. The new infrastructure constructed with the Government of India’s grant of NRs. 26.90 million, having 25 bedded Maternity Hospital building. The project also included medical equipment like ultrasound, X-ray, blood Bank, emergency, Minor OT, 3 Doctor’s room, one Nurse’s room, store, administration, accounts and toilets on ground floor and ICU, CCU, major OT.
