Minister Nembang said from Taplejung : Project linked to prosperity in priority

Taplejung, Jan 8 (RSS): Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, has said the projects linked to national prosperity were given utmost priority. The Olangchunggola road linking north and south borders of the country, Tamor corridor and Madan Bhandari Highway are of strategic value, so they are of top priority. Following the inspection of Olangchunggola road project and the roadway to famous Pathibhara Temple here today, Minister Nembang added the projects with socio-economic significance must be accelerated. These are the bases of physical infrastructures. “The above projects are directly linked to economic development and prosperity,” he said, adding that the roads built already would be upgraded. Nepali Ambassador to Thailand Ganesh Dhakal has been appointed as the non-resident ambassador to Singapore while Nepali Ambassador to Austria Prakash Kumar Subedi to Greece, according to the Office of the President, Shital Niwas. Minister Banskota highlights need of ‘golden era’ for journalism

Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Baskota, has said the incumbent government caused no threat to freedom of the Press. In his address to a programme organised by the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Bhaktapur on the occasion of its 23rd establishment day here today, the Government Spokesperson made it clear that he would resign from his post to come to the street if situation arises under which press freedom was squeezed. He claimed that media biasness was dominating as views intended for something were being presented differently in media. “The tendency of misinterpretation of opinions out of a biased mentality has become dominant in the media; I have a long experience of practicing journalism and I can realise aspirations of journalists, journalism be practiced by abiding by its code of ethics.” Stating the government had not dreamt of ‘prosperous Nepal, poor journalism’, the Minister called for bringing a golden era for journalism. “Onwards, commission journalism does not work, it should be professional and based on facts.” Communications and Information Technology Minister assured that the Media Council Bill would not be passed neglecting the journalists’ rights and interests. B&C college owner Prasain : Medical education council deputy chief demanded Rs 200 million in bribe

The owner of the Jhapa-based B&C Medical College Durga Prasain has accused medical education council deputy chief Shree Krishna Giri of demanding Rs 20 million in bribe from him. Prasain, who organised a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, said that Giri demanded the money in exchange for the council’s affiliation with B&C.  According to him, the two met at Dwarika Hotel in Kathmandu on December 1. “He said that he had to give some money to leaders above him and demanded Rs 200 million,” added Prasain. “I told him that because of anti-money laundering measures, it’s difficult to move that kind of cash around,” he said. Prasain further said that Giri demanded that he transfer 10 per cent share of the hospital to one of his relatives based in Jhapa. “I don’t have a recording of the conversation but I can talk to him face-to-face,” he added. Why do we disconnect and alienate ourselves from the body? It is surprising to me that dance/movement therapy (DMT) is not more popular within the fields of psychology and psychotherapy globally. For a couple of decades, I devoted my attention as a researcher in behavioural neurobiology and psychiatry almost exclusively to the brain and mental health, neglecting the rest of the body. I was trained in the late 1990s, the decade of the brain. I have been mesmerized by the complexity of the brain, completely forgetting that it is part of the entire organism, intimately connected and reciprocally interacting with the entire body. Interestingly, in my personal life my body has played a central role. My way to deal with any mental health problems has been through long walks, dancing, and yoga.
