School closed after teachers, students fall sick

Bajhang- The Dhuli Secondary School of Saipal Rural Municipality-4 has been closed for some days after the teachers and students suddenly fell sick. Assistant principal at the school Dhan Bahadur Bista Bhote informed that the teachers and students suffered from cough, fever, throat ache and nausea. The students from Grade 6 to 9 showed such symptoms. They did not get well even after taking medicine, so the School Management Committee meeting held on Wednesday decided to close the school for some days. There are 245 students and 11 teachers. Some days back, the students and teachers at another Dhalauna Secondary School had also shown such symptoms. Indian Embassy and National Reconstruction Central Project Implementation Unit Signed MoU

Kathmandu- Bhumi Puja was jointly held today in the presence of Deputy Chief of the Indian Embassy Namgyal C Khampa and Chief Executive Officer of Reconstruction Sushil Adhikari. They have participated in the land worship program organized for the reconstruction of Shree Kanti Bhairav ​​Secondary School in Kageshwari Municipality. The school was built under an agreement with the Government of India  provide a total of 250 million in financial assistance to Nepal for reconstruction projects in the areas of education, health, cultural heritage and housing. Under this assistance, reconstruction work of 71 other educational institutions in 8 districts of Nepal damaged by the 2072 BS earthquake is also underway. An agreement was also signed between the Indian Embassy and the National Reconstruction Central Project Implementation Unit (Education) on that occasion. Last rites of Bhagirathi on 17th day of murder

Baitadi- The last rites of 17-year-old Bhagirathi Bhatta, who was killed after rape at Chadepani of Dogalakedar Rural Municipality 7 in the district, are being performed today- 17 days after her murder. Bhatta’s family and relatives, who were demanding with the government for fair investigation and arrest of the accused one since her murder, agreed to receive the dead body for final rites after the police arrested and made public the perpetrator Dinesh on Wednesday and the perpetrator confessed rape and murder. Although the perpetrator till Wednesday evening had admitted that he had killed Bhagirathi, he later confessed that Bhatta was killed after rape. On Thursday, suspected perpetrator Dinesh had confessed crime before his father, investigation (police) officer and attorney while giving statement after the postmortem report was released. He confessed that he himself raped and murdered Bhagirathi Bhatta.
