KATHMANDU- With an aim to promote Nepali culture all across the globe, Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America is going to host the first Nepali International dancing and singing reality show titled ‘Mero Dance Universe’ and ‘ Mero Voice Universe’.
Amid the grand announcement ceremony held at Naxal based Marriot Hotel, foundation announced that people from all across the world can register for the audition by downloading Intra Foundation App. Applicants must be above 18 years old, and must be able to speak and understand Nepali language.
President of the Foundation, Mr Dilli Adhikari said, “We must work together to preserve our culture. Our identity is embedded in our language, culture, and helping those in needs.” Adding, ” Foundation’s main aim is to bring musical revolution in Nepali entertainment industry.”
After the primary selection foundation will perform physical audition in different parts of the world. Several renowned artists including Suresh Adhikari, Shiva Pariyar, Anju Panta, Sujata Varma, and Pushpan Pradhan will be judging ‘Mero Voice Universe’. Whereas Mero Dance Universe will be judged by Mithila Sharma, Dilip Rayamajhi, Shankar BC, Keki Adhikari, Priyanka Karki, and Narman Rai. Both of these shows will be directed by Aleen Shrestha, who has directed several national and international reality shows such as Nepal Idol, Boogie Woogie, Nepal Lok Star, and Saregamapa Lil Champs.
According to the foundation, ‘Mero Dance Universe’ and ‘Mero Voice Universe’ are the highest grossing reality shows in Nepal.’ The winner of ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will get cash prize worth Rs One Crore. Similarly, first and second runner-ups will get Rs 30 lakhs and Rs 20 lakhs, respectively. Likewise, winner of “My Dance Universe” will also receive the prize worth Rs One Crore. Whereas, first runner-up of this show will receive Rs 30 lakhs and the second runner-up will receive Rs 20 lakhs.
This is the highest cash prize ever offered in Nepalese of reality show realm. Besides Nepal, the foundation aims to allure massive participation from several countries with Nepali speaking communities including Myanmar, Thailand, Bhutan, India, Australia, United States, Canada and some European countries. Application of these shows are open and will remain open till the end of January.
Apart from Nepal, the foundation expects large participation of Nepali speakers from Myanmar, Thailand, Bhutan, India, Australia, America, Canada and other European countries.
‘Intra National Welfare and Support Foundation of America’ is an organization registered in United States of America and Nepal. It has been working to promote Nepali culture around the world. The foundation has been focusing on many projects to promote Nepali culture globally.
