Plasma bank receives Rs 1.1 million donation

Jhapa, The Nepal Red Cross Society, Jhapa chapter has provided financial support of Rs 1.1 million to the Birtamod-based plasma bank. Earlier, the NRS has run a campaign to establish a PCR lab at Kankai Municipality.

The campaign had collected Rs 10 million by organizing a charity event. Three persons donated plasma to the bank today itself, said NRS Jhapa President Lokraj Dhakal. Plasma therapy is found effective for the treatment of COVID-19 patients of late.

The NRS, Jhapa chapter has initiated different programmes for the treatment of the critically infected people in the district. RSS
