Kathmandu- Strengthening the long-standing and robust defence cooperation between India and Nepal, the Government of India has handed over various defence-related equipment to the Nepali Army.

Indian Foreign Secretary Mr. Vikram Misri formally handed over Light Strike Vehicles, Critical Care Medical Equipment, and Military Animals to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Nepali Army, General Ashok Raj Sigdel, at a special ceremony held at the Nepali Army Headquarters in Kathmandu.

This gesture reflects the deep mutual trust, strategic partnership, and enduring relationship between the two nations’ armed forces. It is also a strong indication of the growing and evolving defence cooperation between India and Nepal.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing defence collaboration. The handover marks a continuation of the historic tradition of military-to-military support that remains a vital aspect of India–Nepal relations.
