Kathmandu- Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava visited Syabrubesi in Rasuwa and met the Indian technical team deployed there for rescue operations at the Chilime Power House tunnel.

Ambassador Srivastava reached the rescue site near Chilime and received an update on the ongoing efforts being carried out jointly by Indian and Nepali teams.

The Indian technical team has already advanced approximately 100 metres inside the tunnel using specialized equipment as part of the rescue operation. Despite swamp-like ground conditions and difficult terrain inside the tunnel, the team continues its work.

The teams are now preparing to deploy heavy equipment to advance further into the tunnel. The Indian technical team is working in coordination with the Nepali Army to continue the rescue operation under challenging conditions.

Ambassador Srivastava directly observed the difficult terrain and adverse working conditions and acknowledged the continued efforts of both Nepali and Indian teams involved in the rescue mission.
