Kathmandu – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nepal’s long-term development, highlighting the country’s resilience and its potential for sustained economic growth.

Upon arriving in Kathmandu, an ADB official said Nepal has demonstrated remarkable resilience through repeated shocks and periods of significant change. As Nepal’s largest development partner, with an active portfolio of $3.9 billion, ADB remains committed to helping the country transform that resilience into lasting progress by creating opportunities and strengthening the foundations for long-term growth.

The official also expressed a desire to engage closely with Nepal’s new government, emphasizing the importance of listening, learning, and discussing the country’s priorities to ensure ADB’s support aligns with its development agenda.

ADB further noted that it looks forward to building on its six-decade partnership with Nepal and supporting the country’s next phase of economic and social development.
