Kathmandu- Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited has contributed NPR 51 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts for citizens affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi–Trishuli River on Bhadra 10, 2083.
The floods caused extensive damage to lives and property across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Chitwan, affecting areas including Rasuwagadhi, Timure, Syaphrubesi, Betrawati, Trishuli, Devighat, and surrounding communities.
The bank said the total contribution of NPR 51 lakh combines financial support from the institution and one day’s salary contributed by its employees.
Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank expressed heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster and extended sympathy to the bereaved families. The bank also wished a speedy recovery to those injured and affected.
The bank stated that it stands in solidarity with affected families and communities and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting relief, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts led by concerned authorities and stakeholders.
