Campaign to take rights of Singha Durbar to people’s door step underway: VP Pun

Bhimduttanagar, Feb 13 (RSS): Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said that the campaign to take power of Singha Durbar to the door step of the people’s was being implemented. At a programme organised by Bhimduttanagar municipality of Kanchanpur on Wednesday, Vice-President Pun said that it has taken some time to take the rights of Singha Durbar to villages as there was challenge to carry out works as per new federal set up of the country. The Vice-President said that far-western province has immense potentials of tourism with numerous historical places. President Bhandari stresses on promotion of export to reduce trade deficit

Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has stressed promotion of promoting export in the country in the wake of the ballooning trade-deficit. President Bhandari said so while inaugurating the Nepal Entrepreneurship Summit-2019 jointly organized by the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI), Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Supplies and Ministry of Finance here today. President Bhandari underscored encouraging youths for developing entrepreneurship, creating conducive environment for investment, institutionalizing the government services and putting in place vocational training and exchange of ideas and experience on entrepreneurship in national, regional and international level. One year of govt.: Foundation laid for economic prosperity: PM Oli

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government has been successful in its goal of laying the foundation for economic prosperity in the country. In an address to the nation upon completion of one year in office, Prime Minister Oli today said the government was working honestly and spent the first year building the foundation. “Years ahead will be years of achievements and success,” he said while claiming that the government would fulfill the commitments made during the elections in its five-year term. Government is not responsible to Parliament: NC

Kathmandu : Chief whip of the Nepali Congress, the main opposition party in parliament, Bal Krishna Khand has demanded that the government be responsible to the parliament. The NC chief whip said this while speaking in the meeting of the House of Representatives today. Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara had allocated time to Khand to speak after the NC lawmakers stood up from their seats at the outset of the meeting. Khand reminded of the provision in the House of Representatives Regulations which states that the MPs, after taking time from the Speaker, could ask questions to the Prime Minister or the government ministers after the latter give statement of public importance in the parliament. He complained that the NC lawmakers were not allocated time to speak in the parliament meeting on January 6 even when they sought time for the same, saying the government was not becoming answerable to the parliament. Kathmandu: Chairperson of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the dream of prosperity could not be realized until the private sector was encouraged for it. Inaugurating Chitwan Festival on Wednesday, Chairperson Dahal said that the private sector should be encouraged in a positive manner. “The living standard of people should be uplifted and they should be empowered,” he said.
