Saraswati demoted to B division

Saraswati Youth Club lost to Chyasal Youth Club today, which resulted in its demotion to the B division from A division of the Martyrs Memorial national league football. In the match held today at the APF ground in Halchowk, Saraswati lost to Chyasal by 1 goal to 2 goals. Saraswati had to win today’s match to continue in the A division but failed to do so. It got demoted with one more game to play in the current league. Saraswati Club will be the only club to be demoted this year, as All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) decided to demote only one among the 14 teams competing in the A division league. This is the second time Saraswati has been demoted to B division. Prior to this it was demoted to the B division, during its maiden entry to the A division in 2063 B.S. Japanese recruits Taiga Nakamura and Hayato Wakino scored the two goals for Chyasal in the 18th and 16th minute today. Kajim Busari scored for Saraswati in the added time of the second half. With the loss today, Saraswati is confined to 4 points from 12 games. It will now play its final match in the A division league this year against Sankata Club. District Health Office Dailekh launches physiotherapy service

The District Health Office, Dailekh has launched the physiotherapy service for the first time in its history and in the district. The hospital extended its service bearing in mind a growing demand for it. Lately, the number of patients requiring the service is on the rise. Physiotherapy is useful and recommended for those people primarily with neurological and spinal issues, back pain, muscle pain, paralysis, and bone issues, said Office Chief Dr Niranjan Panta. The Handicap International has provided equipment worth Rs one million to operate the service. The Karnali state government has ensured budget to hire ‘physiotherapist’ workforce. The service is expected to be beneficial for the patients from neighbouring districts as well. Spotted deer found in ambulance

An ambulance provided by the Sudur Paschim state government has been found used in smuggling wildlife. This ambulance was provided to the Dilasaini rural municipality by the state government’s ministry of social development. The ambulance with registration number plate Su Pa Pra 01 001 Jha 346 was found carrying a dead spotted deer in course of police checking on Sunday, Police Inspector Khagendra Saud said. The ambulance was going towards Dilasaini from Kanchanpuer when police intercepted it. According to Saud, Ilaka Police Office Gokuleshwar found a dead chital (spotted deer) inside the ambulance in course of checking. It is not known where the animal was brought from. Police have impounded the driver of the ambulance, Mahesh Bohara and the ambulance for action. The dead spotted deer has been handed over to the District Forest Office.  ...

Karnali Festival to be organised from March 2

A four-day festival is going to be organized at Bulbule Garden of Birendranagar in Surkhet district from March 2. Hriti Foundation is going to organize the event with an objective of expanding better understanding of Karnali State. The event will be held in three themes. The first day is titled ‘Karnali ka Bela’, or Karnali’s Time, second is ‘Karnali Kotyau’ or Dig into Karnali and third one as ‘Mantha Jurmurauchan’ or People are Animated.
