India funded school set up to being rebuilt

Kathmandu: Reconstruction of Shree Bishnu Devi Secondary School in Chandragiri Municipality has started. The school is being rebuilt with financial support from India. With the presence of  Minister of Education, Science and Technology of Nepal Krishna Gopal Shrestha and Chief of the Reconstruction and Development Cooperation Division of the Indian Embassy Dr. Prafulla Sharma in Bhumipuja, reconstruction work has been started today. The school reconstruction has carried out at a cost of rs. 64.9 million. It is said that, the school will be built in accordance with the earthquake resistant standards. The school will have three separate blocks including educational, administrative, laboratory and library. There will be 13 classrooms, examination hall, laboratory, computer, library, school management committee, administration and other rooms as well as separate sanitation facilities for male and female students. After the earthquake in 2072 BS, many schools in Nepal were damaged. Accordingly, India has committed to assist in the reconstruction of a total of 71 educational institutions in eight districts damaged by the earthquake. Weather: Rain and snowfall forecast at some places

Kathmandu- The weather will be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today due to the influence of the Westerly with chances of rainfall and snowfall at some places, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said. Light rainfall along with thunder will occur in the hilly region of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in some places of Bagmati province and Province no 1. There is possibility of light snowfall in the high hilly and mountainous region. Meteorologist Shanti Kandel said the impact of the Westerly will remain until the evening today. According to her, the weather will be fair from Tuesday. At present, the weather is fully cloudy in the western hilly region and generally cloudy in the rest of the hilly region of the country. It will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country and partially cloudy in the rest of the country towards the afternoon. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Forecasting Division stated in its weather update that Kathmandu Valley recorded the minimum temperature 9.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 22.0 degrees Celsius in the last 24 hours. Similarly, Jumla recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 0.7 degrees Celsius throughout the country over the last 24 hours....

People’s representatives facilitate locals in obtaining citizenship certificates

Bagmati- Local people’s representatives have facilitated a process required for obtaining Nepali citizenship certificate. The representatives on Sunday reached the District Administration Office Makwanpur to facilitate the process to the residents of remote Raksirang rural municipality for the same. As many as 60 eligible people of Dhirang, Damrang, Garling and Juredhum of Raksirang rural municipality received citizenship certificates with the facilitation of the people’s representatives. Province Assembly member Santa Bahadur Praja, rural municipality chair Rajkumar Malla and chairpersons of different wards as well as the people’s representatives provided facilitating support to the service recipients in obtaining the citizenship certificates. Raksirang rural municipality chair Rajkumar Malla said the representatives offered facilitation to the local residents for citizenship certificates taking into consideration the prolonging process for the same. People’s representatives had taken service recipients to the district administration with necessary documents by collecting data of those not obtaining citizenship certificates. Wards chairpersons had also provided recommendations for citizenship certificates putting their temporary service delivery point on the premises of the administration....

‘Recharge Kathmandu Operation Work Procedure-2077 BS’ endorsed

Kathmandu- Kathmandu metropolitan city (KMC) has endorsed the ‘Recharge Kathmandu Operation Work Procedure-2077 BS’. A meeting of the 58th executive meeting of KMC held under the chair of Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya on Sunday endorsed the work procedure to that end. Likewise, the meeting also endorsed the ‘Concept Paper in Developing Business Work Plan’. The Recharge Kathmandu programme includes arrangements related to activities meant for undergrounding surface water as part of the management of underground water level. Similarly, the concept regarding support to business action plan development includes arrangements to be specified in the action plan for the marketeering of goods to be produced in the Tole and communities by utilizing local and indigenous skills. According to KMC spokesperson Iswar Man Dangol, the meeting also agreed to prepare a work procedure on the operation of ‘Healthy Kidney, Healthy Kathmandu’ programme-2077 and ‘guideline on endorsing preliminary environmental assessment report....

Health camp provides free treatment to 600 people

Karnali- As many as 600 people have received health treatment service from a free health camp held at Gurans rural municipality-8, Dharam Pokhara in Dailekh. The health camp organized by Karnali Province Police Wives Association on Sunday rendered health checkup services to the needy people. Total 601 people received health service free of cost in the camp, shared Karnali Province Police Office Surkhet Spokesperson and SSP Arjun Chand. Also present on the occasion were Karnali Province Police Chief and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Basanta Kumar Pant, Wives Association Chair Ajita Lohoni Pant and Gurans rural municipality chair Khemraj Oli, among others. A team of 13 health workers including six doctors and seven paramedics had provided services related to gynecology, general physician and dental health in the camp, SSP Chand informed.
