Himalaya Bank hands over computer to Police

Kathmandu- Himalayan Bank Limited has handed over a computer to the Metropolitan Police. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank handed over two computers to the Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwor  on Friday. The bank has provided the assistance to the employees of the Metropolitan Police Circle, New Baneshwor, considering the delay in the daily administrative work due to lack of modern computer system. According to Shital Koirala, Press and Public Relations Officer of the bank, the bank has provided two sets of computer sets worth Rs. One lakh and 10 thousands to shut out the problem of police administration. Nepal-India project successful despite Covid-19

Kathmandu- The Nepal-India project has been successful despite the Covid-19 epidemic. This was stated at the fourth meeting of the Joint Project Monitoring Committee, regarding strengthening of road infrastructure under construction in the Terai region of Nepal with Indian co-operation. The meeting, which was held via video conference on Thursday, was co-chaired by Keshav Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Nepal, and Anurag Srivastava, Joint Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Northern Division, India. The meeting reviewed the overall implementation of the Terai Road Project under construction with Indian cooperation. The meeting said that the project has been achieved as 13 out of 14 road packages have been completed. Despite the challenges posed by the covid-19 epidemic, the project has progressed successfully and is in the final stages of construction, with both sides expressing satisfaction over the achievement. Embassy of India organizing a fortnightly Hindi program

Kathmandu- The Embassy of India, Kathmandu is organizing a fortnightly Hindi program on the occasion of Hindi Day as ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’. The program has been launched since last Wednesday with a web seminar on ‘Progress of Hindi Language in 75 Years of India’s Independence’. The embassy has stated that the program will be conducted till September 27. Anil Sharma, Vice President of the Central Hindi Institute of India, was the chief guest at the webinar, which was attended by 32 Hindi linguists from India and Nepal. How can the use of Hindi language be promoted in Nepal and globally by the participants in the program? They had presented their views on the issue.
