ICCR President’s Nepal Visit : From Courtesy Talks to Participated in various Programs

KATHMANDU-  Indian Cultural Relations Council (ICCR) President Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe has come to visit Nepal. According to the Indian Embassy, ​​he arrived in Nepal on May 12 and will continue to visit Nepal. JGI Foundation donates Rs 1.5 million to army for Mountain Cleaning Campaign

KATHMANDU- JGI Nepal Foundation has provided Rs. 1.5 million to the Nepal Army’s for the Mountain Cleaning Campaign to carry out its work under corporate social responsibility. The campaign is being led by Nepal Army in co-ordination and support from multiple government bodies, private sector, development partners, civil society and implementing partners like Avni Center for Sustainability (ACS). It is one of the biggest Mountain Clean Up Campaigns in the world and aims to clean four mountains; Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Kanchenjunga this year. Inauguration of Shree Faud Singh Janata Mavic in Lalbandi

Kathmandu- A building constructed with the grant assistance of the Government of India has been inaugurated by the duo of Shree Faud Singh Janata Higher Secondary School, Lalbandi Municipality-17, Raniganj, Sarlahi District. The two-storey building of Shree Fouad Singh Janata Madhyamik Vidyalaya was jointly inaugurated on June 11, 2022 by the Minister for Social Development of Madhes, Nawal Kishore Sah (Sudi) and the Consul General of India, Nitesh Kumar. The school building has been constructed under India’s grant assistance program in the field of education. The program was attended by local people’s representatives, office bearers, people of Raniganj and other stakeholders. The project, constructed at a cost of Rs 2.7.83 million, is one of the 75 projects to be inaugurated in Nepal this year under the ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’, which marks 75 years of India’s independence. The new school building will create an environment for education in rural areas and support the development of education in Sarlahi district. MOU between Standard Chartered Bank and Unilever Nepal

KATHMANDU –  A business agreement has been signed between Standard Chartered Bank and Unilever Nepal Limited. A business agreement was signed between the two organizations during a ceremony on Sunday. As per the agreement, the bank will provide supply related financial solutions to the distributors of Unilever. Distributors recommended by Unilever Nepal will be able to take advantage of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal (a bank-approved) business financial solution. Inauguration of National Food Laboratory at Raxaul

Kathmandu- National Food Laboratory has been inaugurated in Raxaul, Bihar. In the presence of Agriculture and Livestock Development Minister Mahindra Rai Yadav, Indian Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandavia inaugurated the laboratory. The National Food Laboratory at Raxaul, established by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), is a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with advanced facilities and infrastructure for testing food samples entering India. The laboratory will help increase bilateral trade between India and Nepal by saving time on sampling of Nepal’s food and agricultural exports.
