Kathmandu – Nepal’s Ambassador to India, Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, met with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar in New Delhi.

During the meeting, Ambassador Sharma expressed condolences on behalf of the Government of Nepal for the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, in which one Nepali citizen lost their life. Minister Jaishankar shared this information via a post on X (formerly Twitter), where he also mentioned that they discussed recent developments in bilateral relations.

“We also reviewed the progress in our bilateral ties,” Jaishankar wrote.

Ambassador Sharma stated that he conveyed Nepal’s solidarity with the Government and people of India against terrorism. “I expressed deep condolences from the Government of Nepal and shared the messages of sympathy and solidarity extended by the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, and former Prime Ministers of Nepal,” he said.

The two also discussed a range of bilateral issues. “We reviewed the matters raised during recent high-level meetings between the two countries’ foreign ministers,” Sharma added.
