Kathmandu – With the financial support of the Government of India, the newly constructed school and laboratory building of Shree Gautam Buddha Secondary School located in the Buddhabhumi municipality of Kapilvastu district has been inaugurated.

The building, built with a financial support of Rs 3.323 crore under the ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’, was jointly inaugurated on Monday by the District Coordination Committee, Mr. Baburam Acharya, Head of Kapilvastu, Keshav Kumar Shrestha, Mayor of Buddhabhumi Municipality, and Acting Ambassador of Kathmandu, Prasanna Srivastava.

Government of India grant assistance under ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’ was used for construction of two-storied school building, three-storied laboratory building and purchase of furniture and laboratory equipment.

Under the agreement between the Government of India and the Government of Nepal, this project, previously known as Small Development Project, has been promoted as a high impact community development project.

This project has been implemented through District Coordination Committee, Kapilvastu.
