Kathmandu- With Indian assistance, the foundation stone for the Arun Multipurpose Institution Building has been laid in Arun Rural Municipality, Bhojpur.

On Tuesday, the foundation was jointly laid by the Chairperson of Arun Rural Municipality, Shalikram Khatri, and Avinash Kumar Singh, Counselor at the Embassy of India, Kathmandu.
The foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by representatives of political parties, government officials, and social workers.

Under the “Nepal–India Development Cooperation” initiative, the building is being constructed with financial support from the Government of India at a total project cost of NPR 31.88 million (Three Crore Eighteen Lakh Eighty Thousand).

According to the embassy, the Indian assistance will be used to construct a three-storey building that includes classrooms, a staff room, a meeting room, a multipurpose hall, separate toilets for boys and girls, and other supporting infrastructure. The project is being implemented as a High-Impact Community Development Project and will be constructed through Arun Rural Municipality, Bhojpur.
