Kathmandu- The General Commanding Officer of Central Uttar Pradesh Sub-Area and Colonel of Indian Army Gorkha Rifles Regiment 9 Alok Kakkar has completed his visit to Nepal.

The Indian Embassy informed that their visit to Nepal was successful and fruitful. They arrived in Kathmandu on October 8 and were welcomed at Tribhuvan International Airport by the Indian Defense Attaché for Nepal Colonel Amit Kumar Sharma and Indian Embassy officials.

During the visit, Kakkar honored the bravery award winning Gurkha soldiers and brave women during a Yali program organized in Pokhara. Similarly, he also completed the inauguration of Bhupu Sainik Kalyankari Health Program (ICHS) Type E Polyclinic (Mobile Medical Unit) built in Bhojpur through virtual medium from Kathmandu.

It is believed that the polyclinic will be important for the Indian soldiers and their families living in and around the remote areas of Bhojpur. It is said that the polyclinic will provide health services to more than 5,000 Indian soldiers and their families in the Far East region.
