Today’s weather : Heavy rainfall predicted

Kathmandu- The axis of the monsoon trough now lies close to the Himalayan foothills.

Rainfall is taking place in most of the areas of the country also with the partial influence of the low pressure line developed in the north-east part of the Bay of Bengal, the Weather Forecasting Division shared. General changes are occurring in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces now while partial to general changes are taking place at a few areas of remaining provinces.

Now light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is occurring at a few places of Koshi Madesh, Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Partial to general changes will take place during the day today. Light to moderate rain is predicted at a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki and Lumbini and some limited areas of reaming provinces.

Heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely to take place at one or two areas of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Lumbini provinces. The Kathmandu Valley has witnessed changes in weather conditions since early this morning. Rainfall is also predicted in the valley today.
