Kathmandu – India has announced to celebrate the day of the successful Chandrayaan-3 mission as ‘National Space Day’. The Central Cabinet of India has announced that August 15, when Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the surface of the moon and made history, will be celebrated as ‘National Space Day’.

India sent Chandrayaan-3 to the moon on July 14 from Sriharikota, India. After a 40-day journey, Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed near the south pole of the Moon on 15 August.

With this, India has become the fourth country to reach the moon and the first country to reach the south pole of the moon. Earlier, America, Russia and China have reached the moon.
