Kathmandu- The Indian Army has provided one lakh doses of vaccine against Corona to the Nepal Army.

Under India’s ‘Vaccine Friendly’ initiative, the Indian Army has provided one lakh doses against Covid-19 made in India to the Nepal Army. Chief of the Gurkha Brigade Lt. Gen. P.N. Ananthanarayan has handed over the vaccine to Rathi Bal Krishna Karki of Nepal Army.

Welcoming the vaccine received through India, Rathi Karki expressed happiness over the cooperation extended by the Indian Army. On behalf of India, Lieutenant General Ananthanarayan also lauded the bravery and dedication shown by the Gurkha soldiers in the Indian Army and expressed his commitment to serve the Gurkha community.

Since the year 2020, the Indian Army has been assisting the Nepal Army to fight against Covid-19 through Covishield vaccines, medical supplies, ambulances and other assistance.
