681 new cases of coronavirus, 159 in Kathmandu

A total of 681 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the last 24 hours in the country. Among them, 159 are from the Kathmandu Valley alone. Among the total infection, 465 are male and 216 female.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, has informed that Kathmandu district recorded 134 new cases of coronavirus while Lalitpur 17 and Bhaktapur eight on Wednesday. He shared this information at a press meet.
Total 11,522 persons were tested via PCR methods. So far, 5,54,788 persons have been tested across the country. Across the country, 120 persons got recovery in the last 24 hours. With this, number of those getting full recovery has reached 17,700. State-wise categorization puts the infection- 1,060 in State-1; 2,037 in State-2; 2,679 in Bagmati State; 4,288 in Gandaki State; 838 in State-5; 245 in Karnali State; and 830 in Sudurpaschim State. As many as 113 persons among the infected ones are receiving treatment at ICU.
Six persons die In the last 24 hours, six persons died of coronavirus in various parts of the country. With the latest fatality, the death toll has reached 120. The recent deaths are – one male each from Kathmandu and Bardiya districts, and one female each from Morang, Bhaktapur, Chitwan and Sunsari districts. —–
