Kathmandu – A commission formed to probe issues related to the September 8–9 Gen Z movement is to write to then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, summoning him for the clarification.

Responding to a media query today, Commission Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki said preparations are underway to seek clarification from Oli once the process of seeking clarification from then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is completed.

Karki’s remarks came at a time when CPN (UML) Chair and former Prime Minister Oli was publicly stating that he would not appear before the commission for clarification, while also questioning its legal status and impartiality.

Likewise, Karki added that the commission is working according to a plan to submit its report within the extended deadline of January 21. The three-member commission was formed following a Cabinet decision on September 21.
