Kathmandu- Laxmi Sunrise has contributed NPR 3.24 crore (Three Crore Twenty- Four Lakhs) to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, supporting ongoing relief and recovery efforts
for families and communities affected by the recent flash floods along the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers. The floods caused widespread damage across Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan, affecting communities, homes, livelihoods and critical infrastructure. As immediate rescue and relief efforts transition toward recovery and rebuilding, continued support remains important for communities dealing with the longer-term impact of the disaster.
Through this contribution, Laxmi Sunrise seeks to support the collective relief and recovery efforts being undertaken for affected communities and families working to rebuild their lives. The Bank extends its deepest sympathies to those who lost family members, homes and livelihoods and acknowledges the efforts of government agencies, security forces, rescue and relief teams, volunteers and local communities involved in responding to the disaster.
