Kathmandu, July 4: The meeting of the National Assembly (NA) held today continued the discussions on appropriation bill, 2075 BS under the heading of different ministries.
The discussions were concentrated on nine different ministries. Lawmaker Kali Bahadur Malla, Balram Prasad Baskota, Ramprit Paswan, Bhairabsundar Shrestha, Bimala Kumari Poudel and others expressed their opinion seeking government’s effective role on agriculture and tourism sectors.
Likewise, Agam Prasad Bantawa Rai, Sher Bahadur Kunwar, Ramchandra Rai, Bina Pokharel, Udaya Sharma Poudel and Kabita Bogati also stressed on the implementation of the budget as it was released.
Similarly, lawmakers Utol Tamang, Singha Bahadur BK, Chandra Prasad Snehi, Khemraj Nepali and Komal Oli said that the journalists should be given minimum wages and the tourism and culture should be separated while development of the industrial estate should be prioritized for the promotion and operation of the sick industries.
Furthermore, Hari Charan Siwakoti, Narapati Lohar and Nainakal Ojha spoke for effective implementation of the programmes on public health and development works.
Prior to this, lawmakers Anita Devkota, Dhan Kumari Khatiwada, Prakash Pantha and Jitendra Narayan Dev proposed for the cost reduction of different ministries.
The next meeting of the NA will be held at 11:00 am tomorrow.
