Pune- The 16th Meeting of the India-Nepal Bilateral Consultative Group on Security Issues (INBCGSI) was held in Pune on 23–24 June 2025. The two-day meeting witnessed productive discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in the fields of defence and security.
Delegations from both countries engaged in comprehensive dialogue covering a range of bilateral security concerns. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen defence and security cooperation, with particular focus on equipment supply, training, capacity building, and military exchanges.
The meeting underscored the deep-rooted and multifaceted partnership between India and Nepal, emphasizing mutual trust and cooperation in maintaining regional peace and stability.
The INBCGSI serves as an important platform for regular interaction between the two neighbours on strategic and security-related matters.
