kathmandu- Nepali-origin Satish Chapagain has won the Democratic primary election for the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 7A, earning the party’s nomination for the upcoming general election. With 99 percent of the votes counted following the June 23 primary election, Chapagain secured second place with 2,718 votes out of a total of 10,402 votes cast, finishing ahead of two other candidates.
