Belt Road Initiative and Nepal

This very zeal made our ancestors move out of their caves of Stone Age and build sky scrapers in the modern era. This very zeal caused huge technological advancements and the process doesn’t stop. The BRI or the One Belt One Road was officially announced in 2013 by the newly elected     president of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jingping. This project is meant to be the revival of the ancient Silk Road that existed thousands of years ago and it connected China with other different parts of the world. BRI will cover 4.4 billion people, 40% of world GDP and 39% of world land area. The BRI includes two components: Maritime Silk Road, which is the sea route and the Economic Belt, which is the land route. BJP Leader Jolly Honored in Nepal 

Senior Indian BJP Leader Vijay Jolly attended 21st Anniversary celebrations of Reporters Club of Nepal at Kathmandu. The program was inaugurated by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma ‘Oli’ and addressed by Co-Chair Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Former Chief Justice of Nepal Khil Raj Regmi, Indian Ambassador H.E. He called on Prime Minister of Nepal, Rt. Hon’ble Mr. K.P. Sharma Oli and Foreign Minister of Nepal, H.E. Mr. Pradeep Kumar Gyawali. The two Foreign Secretaries reviewed all aspects of wide ranging bilateral partnership and exchanged views on regional and other issues of mutual interest. They expressed satisfaction at the substantial progress that has been achieved on bilateral projects and initiatives that were discussed and agreed to during the reciprocal visits of Prime Ministers of Nepal and India in April and May 2018.
