Taplejung, Jan 8 (RSS): Minister for Physical Infrastructures and Transport, Basanta Kumar Nembang, has said the projects linked to national prosperity were given utmost priority.

The Olangchunggola road linking north and south borders of the country, Tamor corridor and Madan Bhandari Highway are of strategic value, so they are of top priority. Following the inspection of Olangchunggola road project and the roadway to famous Pathibhara Temple here today, Minister Nembang added the projects with socio-economic significance must be accelerated. These are the bases of physical infrastructures.

“The above projects are directly linked to economic development and prosperity,” he said, adding that the roads built already would be upgraded.

Minister Nembang expressed concern why the roadway to Pathivara was not upgraded though the budget for this was allocated four years back.

He further assured that the demands of the locals to link Suketar from outside the Phungling bazaar under Mechi Highway would be addressed.
