Kathmandu, In partnership with the U.K. Government funded Skills for Employment Program Skill (SEEP), Upaya City Cargo, a technology based online marketplace for intra-city logistics, will provide self-employment opportunities to returnee migrant workers and other economically vulnerable groups, including women. Upaya City Cargo efficiently connects individuals and businesses with driver partners by integrating technology to ensure quick and hassle-free delivery of bulk goods. Currently, Upaya City Cargo has expanded their services to Butwal, Bhairawa and Pokhara; integrated agri-business through the KHETI app; and will enter the two-wheeler market segment aiming to generate skilled employment opportunity for 2,600 drivers and farmers. Upaya City Cargo recently invested in D.V Excellus Pvt. Ltd. to integrate agri-business through the “KHETI” platform, an online marketplace for farm products and a provider of end-to-end solutions for farmers and small agri-enterprises. With co-investment and technical support from Ukaid Skill, Upaya CityCargo will generate skilled manpower for the digital economy by training drivers and farmers in digital literacy, digital payments, customer relation, road safety and vehicle maintenance.
