Makwanpur- Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Kamal Thapa, said unity among nationalist forces was imperative to curb corruption and authoritarianism. Rapti ‘cold store’ is in Operation with the Collabration of India

Dang – Rapti Cold Store has come into operation with Indian assistance. Karun Wanshal, Chief of Administration of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, inaugurated the cold store at Lamahi Bazaar in Dang on Saturday. The cold store with a capacity of 3200 MT has been constructed Total cost is Rs. 96.6 million  with a grant of Rs 42.5 million. Projects has been completed under ‘Nepal-Bharat Development Cooperation’ programme as High Impact Community Development Projects. The Rapti cold storage building is equipped to preserve vegetable, fruits and perishable agriculture produce. Upgradation of eye hospital in Nepalgunj with Indian assistance

Nepalgunj – Fattebal Eye Hospital in Nepalgunj has been upgraded with Indian assistance. The hospital was inaugurated on Sunday by Karun Wanshal, Chief of Administration at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu.  The new hospital building, constructed with a grant of Rs. 46.6 million from the Government of India, has facilities for general ward, private ward, operating theater, training room, living quarters for doctors and drainage system.Health sector is an important area of focus for Governments of India and Nepal. Forty percent of Indian citizens have been receiving services from Fattebal, which treats more than 1.5 lakh people annually. Under reconstruction grant assistance (US $ 50 million) of Government of India to Nepal, total 147 Health Posts are being built across ten districts of Nepal affected by 2015 earthquake. Udayapur – India extends 42.95 million grant assistance to build new building for School in Udaypur. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Embassy of India to Nepal, Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration and Triyuga Municipality for construction of new building for Shree Bal Mandir Secondary School on 5th April 2021. The MoU was signed by the Head of Development Partnership and Reconstruction Wing of the Embassy, Mayor of Triyuga Municipality and Under Secretary from Ministry of Federal Affairs. The project will be taken up as a High Impact Community Development Project at an estimated cost of NRs 42.95 million under the Nepal-Bharat Maitri Development Partnership programme. Since 2003, under project scheme, earlier known as Small Development Projects, Government of India has taken up over 520 of which 448 projects have been completed in the areas of health, education, drinking water, connectivity, sanitation and creation of other public utilities in across all seven provinces of Nepal. Out of these, 65 are in Province-1, including seven completed projects in Udayapur District and 8 projects are under various stages of completion.
