Indian Embassy and Infrastructure Companies interacted regard Nepal’s Potential Opportunities 

Kathmandu- The Embassy of India has shown keen  in the potential opportunities to be seen here while operating the project in Nepal. Expressing interest in the opportunities available while operating the project in Nepal, the embassy had issued a virtual meeting with major Indian companies on Tuesday. During the meeting, Deputy Chief of Mission Namagya Khampa said that Nepal is a key ally in advancing India’s goal of an integrated South Asian region. Nepal’s infrastructure sector has a big role to play. . Similarly, Joint Secretary Keshav Kumar Sharma urged the Indian companies to participate in the business sector in Nepal and informed about the quantity, scope and nature of bids in the infrastructure sector. He encouraged participants to expand their relationships with local partners who are appropriate to the project’s criteria. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport of the Government of Nepal were also present at the interaction, which was organized with the objective of attracting Indian infrastructure companies to Nepal’s growing infrastructure sector and sharing technology, skills and knowledge with Nepal’s partners. Old age home building constructed in Lalitpur with the assistance of Rs 50 million from India

Lalitpur – An old age home building has been constructed in Lalitpur with the financial assistance of Rs 50 million from India.  Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Quatra jointly inaugurated the building on Saturday. The ‘Jyapu Samaj Senior Citizen Ananda Niketan’ building in Bagdola has been constructed with modern, disability friendly structure for the proper care of senior citizens. Total 110 bed capacities building has a health examination room, kitchen, essential furniture and other equipment. India and Nepal held the 9th meeting of the Oversight Mechanism

Kathmandu : India and Nepal held the 9th meeting of the Oversight Mechanism (OSM) in Kathmandu. The meeting was co-chaired by H. E. Mr. Vinay Mohan Kwatra, Ambassador of India to Nepal and H.E. Mr. Bharat Raj Paudyal, Foreign Secretary, Government of Nepal. The OSM Mechanism was set up in 2016 to monitor the progress of various India assisted projects and initiatives. The meeting was attended by representatives of various Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government of Nepal, Officers of the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Consultants, Contractors and other stakeholders engaged in implementation of the projects. The meeting carried out a comprehensive review of bilateral cooperation projects since its 8th meeting held on 17thAugust 2020. Both sides deliberated on the issues at length and agreed to expedite the implementation of such projects. The Co-chairs noted the progress made in various development projects in the last one year despite the constraints of the COVID-pandemic, which showcased the strength and resolve of our bilateral partnership and the proactive support and facilitation extended by both sides. Thus Embassy celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day (Photo Feature)

Kathmandu- The 75th Independence Day of India has been celebrated at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. Teachers and students of the embassy’s Swami Vivekananda Cultural Center and Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kathmandu performed patriotic songs and dances at the embassy today as ‘Amrit Mahotsav of Independence’. On the occasion, which was inaugurated by Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Kwatra, he read out a message from the President of India paying tributes to the progress made in various fields over the past 75 years and to the fighters who have sacrificed for India’s independence. On the occasion, the Ambassador also honored the wives and relatives of the deceased Gurkha soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces by distributing blankets to each family, including a total of Rs. 44 million.   August 8 is a special occasion in India to commemorate the 75th anniversary of progressive India and the achievements made by Indians in all areas of human endeavor. India celebrating its 75th Independence Day

Kathmandu – India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day on 15 August. The theme for this year’s Independence Day celebrations is “Nation First, Always First”. India’s Independence Day is significant as it stands as a reminder of the sacrifices that many freedom fighters made to get independence from British rule. India  celebrating this day with the usual pride to mark its freedom from British rule. The Indian Independence movement began during World War I and was led by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. On August 15, 1947, India got its freedom, ending an almost 200-year British rule. The Indian Independence Bill was introduced in the British House of Commons on July 4, 1947, and passed within a fortnight. It provided for the end of British rule in India on August 15, 1947. After that, India became a free country with the bifurcation of India and Pakistan. India’s Independence Day is significant as it stands as a reminder of the sacrifices that many freedom fighters made to get independence from British rule.
