Kathmandu – The foundation stone of the operation theater building of Rapti Eye Hospital in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Dang has been laid.

On Tuesday, Mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City Tikaram Khadka and First Secretary of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, Vashisht Nandan jointly laid the foundation stone. Political representatives, government officials and social workers were also present at the foundation stone laying ceremony.

The operation theater building of Rapti Eye Hospital is being constructed at a project cost of NPR 4.331 crore with financial assistance from the Government of India under the ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’. The operation theater building and other related facilities are being constructed with a grant from the Government of India under the ‘Nepal-India Development Cooperation’. The project has been taken forward as a high-impact community development project and is being implemented through Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Dang.

The Mayor of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City, Dang and the Chairman of the Rapti Eye Hospital Management Committee and other stakeholders appreciated the development assistance being provided by the Government of India to the people of Nepal. They expressed confidence that the infrastructure being built will help provide better healthcare services to the people of Nepal and will also contribute to the overall development of the health sector in the Lumbini province of Nepal.
