Kathmandu- Cyber Utsav-2024 will be held in Kathmandu from Kartik to 28th.
The event’s theme is ‘By students, for students: Innovation for a bright future’ and it will be organized by Techgurkha and Golden Gate Science and Robotics Club.
The event, which is co-organized by Brimy, will be run by Yeti Nepal Management at Golden International College in Kathmandu, as reported.
Program concept and objectives
Cyber 2024 is a technology program that aims to engage high school students in grades 9 to 12 and tech enthusiasts in innovation, collaboration and learning. This program will provide opportunities for youth to learn about modern technologies, develop new skills and solve real problems. This program gives students practical hands-on experience with new technologies.
Techgurkha is a non-profit organization established by ‘The Hack Foundation’ located in California, USA, with the aim of teaching technical knowledge to the interested youth of Nepal. Through this tech network, The Hack Foundation provides educational resources, networking opportunities, and support for student-led initiatives to high school students interested in coding and technology. Techgarkha and The Hack Foundation also supported this event.
Main activities and program structure
Cyber 2024 will include the following key activities:
1. Web Development Workshop
– Before the hackathon, a special workshop will be held to strengthen knowledge in web development. This workshop will cover the basic concepts and techniques of web development.
2. Hackathon
– Main subject: Web Development
Participants will work in groups to solve real problems related to web development.
– Collaboration: Students from different educational institutions will exchange innovation ideas with each other.
– Awards and Honors The best projects will receive recognition through cash prizes and awards.
3. Keynote speeches and panel discussions
– At the beginning and end of the program, formal information and awards and honors will be given by invited personalities and renowned experts in the field.
– Current trends in technology and future issues will be discussed.
4. Project Exhibition
– Students will have an opportunity to present their projects.
– Teams of 1-4 members will compete to present their innovative ideas.
5. Networking opportunities
– Exhibition stalls: Tech companies and startups will set up stalls to engage with attendees.
– Interactive and Networking will help to gather students from various educational institutions and provide opportunities in the future by interviewing students with various business industries and successful entrepreneurs through networking.
