Kathmandu – The Government of India is going to give bailibridge grant to Nepal to deal with the recent natural calamities.

It is said that the government is discussing to bring more than 20 bailey bridges from India as a subsidy. India is going to help Ballybridge to make alternative arrangements for the bridges damaged by the recent floods and landslides.

Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Devendra Dahal, who came to inspect the physical infrastructure damaged by the recent floods in Sindhupalchowk, gave this information. He said that preparations are being made to bring a bailey bridge to Tatopani soon.

Three ministers of the federal government reached the headquarters of Chautara on Tuesday to inquire about the situation in the flood-affected areas of Sindhupalchok. The damage caused by the disaster was discussed at the district administration office in the presence of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Defense Minister Manveer Rai and Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Dahal.

After understanding the situation in Sindhupalchok, Home Minister Akbar assured that bailibridges will be arranged quickly at Larcha and Liping rivers on the Kodari highway connecting China. He instructed Prajia Kiran Thapa to identify the landslide affected beneficiaries and send the details of the damage immediately.

Sindhupalchowk is affected by natural calamities every year. This time alone, 10 people died, two went missing and a large amount of physical damage was done. The Government of India continues to provide continuous support to natural disasters in Nepal.
