Kathmandu – The ‘Multilingual Poetry Symposium’ organized by the Indian Embassy, Kathmandu has been completed. Under Nepal-India Literature, ‘Multilingual Poetry Symposium’ was organized for Nepalese youth, held on Tuesday at ‘Nepal-India Library’.

The aim of the program is to teach talented young poets and provide a platform for poets to recite poetry in their mother tongue, the embassy said.

In the ‘open mic’ session of the ceremony, the participants presented their compositions in Sanskrit, Urdu, Awadhi, Newari, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Tharu, Kevarat and other languages.

Nepal’s famous poet and senior writer Dr. Sanat Kumar Vasti gave certificates to all.

The program was attended by poets, writers, teachers, language lovers and literature lovers, including young participants who recited poetry.
