Kathmandu- Marking its 18th anniversary and World Heart Day on Friday, Ncell Axiata Limited organised a free health camp in Lainchaur, Kathmandu. Over 400 individuals participated in this programme and sought free medical services various ailments.

The health camp was organised in association with Norvic International Hospital in the Lainchaur Ground. During the health camp, free medical examinations for ailments related to cardiology, gynecology, pediatrics, dental, and general health checkups were conducted by doctors. Likewise, free ECG and diabetes tests were made available.

Living to its brand promise, ‘Today. Tomorrow. Together.’, Ncell organised the health camp in line with its anniversary theme ‘Here for You’. Health camps are very good platforms for promoting preventive healthcare services by providing free screenings of general health well-being beings helping individuals detect early health issues, if any.

All the patients who were screened at the health camp can also avail 20% discount at Norvic International Hospital for extended health checkups as per the referral in the prescription. In the camp oranised from 9 am to 4 pm, medicines were be distributed for free to those needing the drugs.

In line with the anniversary theme, ‘Here for You’, Ncell has already announced its strategic partnership with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Nepal to support Paralympic national players. Ncell has also announced ’18 for 18′ social initiative, which provides local solutions to local problems. Additionally, Ncell planted trees along the Bagmati Corridor Road, held a friendly football match called ‘Purple Kickoff’ and a Go to Market Day to interact with and greet customers, among other activities.
