Truck hit kills rickshaw puller

Makawanpur- A rickshaw puller died after a truck hit him at Nawalpur of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis-11 early this morning.

The dead one is Khemlal Shrestah, 36, from Hetauda Sub-Metropolis-11, according to District Police Office. Deputy Superintendent of Police Indra Bahadur Rana informed that the truck (Na 6 Kha 4044) heading to Hetauda from Manahari hit the rickshaw (Na 1 Ha 3408) coming from opposite direction. Injured seriously in the accident, Shrestha was taken to nearby Churehill Hospital, but the doctor announced him dead in no time.

The truck driver has been absconding since the accident. Police have been investigating the incident after impounding the truck. Search for the truck driver is on. Now, the dead body has been taken to Hetauda Hospital for post mortem. RSS
