State-5 Ministry of Social Development has set up a ‘State Public Health Lab’ at Ramnagar in Butwal. Opening the operation of laboratory on Thursday, Minister for Social Development Sudarshan Baral informed that the ministry has put health service on top priority. Ministry’s secretary Dr Gopi Krishna Khanal highlighted the need to develop strong collaboration among three tiers of governments to deliver health service in an integrated manner. Tilottama municipality mayor Basudev Ghimire expressed his municiplaity’s readiness to provide land for state-level laboratory. Acting chief of the laboratory office Dr Rajendra Giri said the office having vacancy for 12 permanent staffs has started collecting samples.
