Kathmandu- NMB Bank Limited has provided Rs. 351 million in support for relief and rehabilitation efforts for citizens affected by the devastating floods in the Bhote Koshi River.
The bank’s Board Chairperson handed over a cheque of Rs. 351 million to the Finance Minister, with the amount to be deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The bank has also provided relief materials worth Rs. 1 million for people affected by the floods.
The sudden floods caused significant damage across riverine areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan, displacing numerous families and damaging roads, local infrastructure and hydropower projects.
The bank said the assistance is aimed at supporting affected citizens with medical treatment, food and shelter, as well as contributing to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of damaged infrastructure.
